Hello? Anyone out there?

Yes....Thirty-one Eighteen still exists. The blog...the website...and most definitely the seamstress!

I've been just trying to keep up with life. Isn't that the case for most of us? And we don't even have a busy "schedule". Summers just keep us especially busy--my husband has a more hectic and non-predictable schedule, trying to keep our plants alive in the crazy heat, figuring out what to do with our crops from our CSA, and the list continues. Our computer has been "fritzy" and so has my sewing machine. Now at 2 1/2 years old and almost 15 months, my kiddos are quite the energetic little people, pretty much always in need of something...usually silly things like food, or trips to the potty/diaper changes, or snuggles, or mommy playtime. I'm loving it all and trying to treasure each moment--they go by so fast!

I am still sewing...some. I just have not had the time to make new things for the online store, I just haven't. That's all I'll say about that. I have mostly been doing custom orders (burp cloths, nursery bedding, onesies, bibs). So, please keep us in mind if you need something; I'd love to work with you! I'm hoping to devote more time to making new products in the coming weeks and I'd love to do a craft show again this fall, but we'll just have to see...

Here are some pictures of custom nursery bedding I did a while back. I made the bumpers and the valance and the coordinating birdies. The client (who also happens to be one of my best friends) used the birdies to make the adorable mobile-so creative! Don't you just love the bright colors? By choosing her own fabric, she got the exact look she wanted and was able to coordinate with sheets and a bedskirt she already had.
